One should realize that a family holiday starts with the trip towards the vacation destination. And if long road trips bore the average adult, imagine how the normal kids feel. Kids who are normally oozing with energy naturally feel bad if they are deprived of movement and buckled at the back seat for a long time. For parents, one of the biggest challenges posed by road trips is how to keep the kids in order.

It is a good thing that there are now miniature gadgets that effectively keeps people calm and entertained at the same time. For road trips, a new game called Car Bingo that features roadside objects is very popular. In Car Bingo, cards are filled with roadside objects instead of numbers. One game variation is for the players to announce a road object that they see and mark that object if it is in their card. The procedure goes on until a player is able to fill the pre determined pattern, just like in the ordinary bingo game. Players may come out with variations of the rules and even create their own.
